About the Class
We teach traditional Okinawan Shorin Ryu Karate as taught by the late Eizo Shimabukuro O'Sensei and Okinawan Shudokan Karate as taught by the late Shibucho Walter Todd. Okinawan weapons (kobudo) are taught to advanced students.
Classes are informative, fun and functional with an emphasis on technique, skills and self defense rather than sport. We encourage all our students to challenge themselves not only to learn the physical skills, but to explore the associated history of the art. Our classes are taught so everyone can feel confident and achieve their personal best.
Classes are taught in a casual style and are open to all people.
