Sensei Martin is the cheif instructor of our Brazilian Jiu Jitsu progran.He is also a multi-disciplined Black Belt instructor and a former MMA fighter.

resides in the Melbourne Florida area.
Began martial arts as student in Kodokan Judo at age 6.
Teen Years: Earned Shodan in Judo and in Shorin Ryu Karate.
Earned rank of Eagle Scout. Awarded US Army ROTC scholarship.
Years: University of Florida. Earned Shodan and Nidan in Wado Ryu Karate.
College: US Army then 3 National Banking Corporations. Became owner/partner of an Industrial Park Development Company and later started his own Real Estate and Development Companies.
During his lifetime, John Newton has trained under Professor George Newton III, 6th Dan Kodokan Judo, Sensei Mike Sawyer, 5th Dan, Professor John Wilcox, 10th Dan, Dr. Rod Sacharnoski, 10th Dan (Soke of Juko Ryu), Professor Katsuyuki Kondo (Soke of Daito Ryu). He has tested and earned 3rd Dan in Kempojutsu, 5th Dan in Dai Yoshin Ryu Aikijujutsu, 7th Dan in Juko Ryu Jujutsu, 5th Dan in US Jujitsu (USJJF), and 7th Dan in Jujitsu (USJA). Also earned Kyoshi (Instructor) level in Shinjo Ryu Kenjutsu/Iaijutsu, Shodan in Bujinkan Ninjitsu (Dr. Masaaki Hatsumi), Shodan in Seidokan Toide (Professor Shian Toma). He is one of the few “Combat Ki Masters” trained and tested by Dr. Sacharnoski.
Sensei Newton is a recognized Master Rank Examiner in both the United States Jujitsu Federation (USJJF) and the United States Judo Association (Jujitsu Division).
Sensei John Newton
Newton continues to teach on a weekly basis at HARBOR CITY DOJO, the school he founded with Sensei David Parritt (8th Dan) in Melbourne Florida. He has been teaching actively for the past 15 years. The dojo has approximately 50 active students, with 8 active Yudansha. Classes are taught 5 nights a week. Special Programing is available to visiting high level students who wish to have compressed training in 3-day to 6-day sessions.
Sensei Dave Parritt
(7th degree black belt). He has studied Judo
throughout the world while part of the US Military. He has worked out at the
Kodokan (The first school of Judo). He has been doing Judo for over 60 years.
He also has a 7th degree black belt in Japanese Jujitsu and the USJA Committee
Chairperson of Jujitsu.

Sensei Fred Fries
Sensei Fries has a 6th degree black belt and has been doing Judo for over 52 years. He has trained at the Kodokan when he was wart of the U.S. military. Sennsei Freis also has a black belt in Japanese Ju Jitsu.
Sensei Faith Urban
Sensei Urban has studied Judo under Hayward Nishioka, 9th
degree black belt in Judo. Used to run the Florida Tech Judo class with Dr.
Sensei Jim Ragan
Sensei Michele Elefante holds the rank of Godan (5th degree black belt). She began her formal study of martial arts in 1990, and teaching Self-defense 1995. She has taught Self-defense workshops throughout the United States, to all ages, youth to elder, male and female. Additionally, she has been a repeat instructor at the National Women’s Martial Arts Federation (NWMAF) Special Training, the Pacific Association of Women Martial Artists (PAWMA) training and the Association of Women Martial Artists (AWMAI) conference.
